Who we are
This website (visavagroup.com) is run by VISAVA GROUP (brand: VISAVA), head office K13/16-1, Jatanbar, Visheshwarganj, Varanasi 221001, Uttar Pradesh, India. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we decide why and how the personal data described here is used. You can contact us about privacy at info@visavagroup.com.
What we collect
- Details you send us through our enquiry forms, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, company, city or country, the products and quantities you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Website usage data collected by Google Analytics 4 using cookies or similar technology: pages viewed, clicks on buttons (for example WhatsApp or call buttons), approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not use this to identify you personally.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, such as IP address, date and time of a request, and browser information.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, send quotes and samples, and process and deliver orders.
- To keep business records that we are required to keep by law (for example tax and accounting records).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To protect the website and our business from spam, fraud and misuse.
We do not sell your personal data. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Your consent
When you submit an enquiry form or contact us, you consent to us using your details to respond to you as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may still keep records the law requires us to keep.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry forms you submit.
- Google (Google Analytics), for website usage statistics.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
- Our email provider, and couriers or logistics partners when we deliver an order.
- Government or law-enforcement authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer rules that apply under Indian law.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to count visits and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without these cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and after that only for as long as the law requires us to keep records. We then delete or anonymise them.
How we protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to enquiries and business records is limited to people who need it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and other applicable law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, where we no longer need to keep it;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
To use these rights or raise a concern (grievance), email info@visavagroup.com with the subject “Privacy request”, or write to us at our head office address above. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is available to you under the law.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and adult customers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
